Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to announce the recipients of its Third Quarter Employee Awards for 2014. Jose Lopez, head golf professional at Great Waters, has been named Leader of the Quarter, and Debbie Castellaw, administrative assistant of golf course maintenance at The Landing and Great Waters, and Chris Bradshaw, cart attendant at Great Waters, have been named Employees of the Quarter.

Jose Lopez joined Reynolds Lake Oconee as an assistant golf professional in July 2005. Prior to joining the team, he worked with a private club located in southern California. Lopez and his staff at Great Waters were a big part of the inaugural Big Break Invitational, Reynolds Lake Oconee where they worked 12+ hour days to ensure the tournament ran without a hitch. By displaying a service-first attitude, he and his team concluded the week with a very successful nationally televised golf tournament.

“The Big Break Invitational was a great experience for me as Head Professional,” says Lopez. “Reynolds Lake Oconee is a wonderful community with an amazing membership. I love the fact I get to work in such a beautiful place with a great group of golf professionals.”

Lopez is a member of the PGA of America, and enjoys volunteering and helping others when he can. Outside of work, he enjoys watching any sport on TV and spending time with his family; wife, Ginny and sons, Noah and Nathan, and daughter, Iris.

Debbie Castellaw transferred to the Reynolds Lake Oconee team from Port Armor in April 2005 after working as a small business owner and licensed insurance agent. As administrative assistant for golf maintenance, she currently assists with two of six golf courses at Reynolds - The Landing and Great Waters. “I have worked for the company for 13 years and it has given me the opportunity to broaden my skills in Excel and Power Point, and really allows me to use my creative gifts,” says Castellaw. “This is a great place to work and I am fortunate to work with some amazing and talented people.”

Castellaw attends Northridge Christian Church and is a member of Yarn to Please. When she is not working, she loves sewing, embroidering, crocheting, and most importantly spending time with her four children and eight grandchildren.

Chris Bradshaw took his first job at Reynolds Lake Oconee as a cart attendant at Great Waters in March 2010. In his four years with the company, he has developed a number of great relationships with club members and met a lot of interesting people. “I like interacting with others and making people laugh – and my job fortunately allows me to do this daily,” says Bradshaw. “Every day I have the unique opportunity to give back to the members and say thank you for all they do for us.”

When Bradshaw is not working at Great Waters, he spends most of his free time riding his street bike and even getting a few rounds of golf in himself from time to time.
