Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its Fourth Quarter Employee Awards for 2021. Mary Cronic, Sales Office Manager, has been named Leader of the Quarter, while Marlee Thomas, Marketing Coordinator, and Kensley Carnes, Banquet Server, have been named Employees of the Quarter.

Mary Cronic became part of the Reynolds family over 33 years ago in November 1988, the same year Reynolds Lake Oconee officially sold its first property. She worked in the Accounting department for seven years before moving to Sales. As Office Manager, Cronic enjoys a wide array of responsibilities in her position.

“My time at Reynolds has brought me fond memories and lasting friendships.” says Cronic. “I love the incredible people I work with every day, we work together and help each other out, and we are like a family.”

When not helping the Sales department run effortlessly, Cronic enjoys spending time with her husband, David, step-son, Jonathan, and their three dogs, Ben, Nellie, and Foxy.

Marlee Thomas has worked in the Marketing department for two years. She enjoys creating, producing, and communicating marketing materials that promote the core products and services for Reynolds.

Marlee’s favorite part of her job is having the opportunity to interact with both Members and other Reynolds employees from a variety of departments. Whether it’s working with them on a design project or Reynolds Living Magazine, she enjoys getting to know them throughout the process. Thomas says it’s rewarding to see her finished products serve their purpose around The Club or help give newcomers a glimpse into the Reynolds lifestyle.

“I love that everyone is always willing to offer a helping hand, even when it may not be convenient for them – regardless if they are in your department or if they know you at all. Reynolds employees take it upon themselves to go the extra mile not just for our Members, but for each other as well, and I feel fortunate to be a part of a team that values service in this way. I also like that there is a common understanding within Reynolds that each employee’s position is of value because we are all a spoke on the wheel of the experience we provide to our Members and guests, and each one is needed to be able to do our part in exceeding expectations.”

When not working you can find Marlee hanging out with her family or attending Watkinsville First Baptist Church in Watkinsville, GA.

Kensley Carnes grew up in Eatonton and went to Gatewood School. She has worked for Reynolds for over three years and has become known to both Members, guests, and fellow employees for her positive attitude and infectious personality. She finds joy in every task she completes and is truly a team player in the Food and Beverage department.

“I enjoy being part of a team that supports each other.” Says Carnes.

“I appreciate the quality of care and support Reynolds gives to its employees, and am so grateful to receive this award.”

Carnes loves to travel and hopes to take her son, Keaston, exploring as many places as possible. Recently she returned from Colorado and voted this trip her favorite spot so far. In her spare time, Carnes loves hanging out with Keaston, and her two dogs, Sable and Rye.
